Biography

Gwyndaf first began to sing at the tender age of six under the tutelage of his mother and the late bass baritone, Frank Daniels. He has built his career with a dramatic tenor voice singing the classical arias in competitions, concerts and operas, but has always had a deep passion for musical theatre, love songs, Mario Lanza favourites and Welsh folk music. In his native Wales, Gwyndaf grew up performing and competing in traditional singing festivals including the Singer of the World competition held in Cardiff, where at the age of seventeen he won first place in the tenor category. Gwyndaf has also performed as a soloist for the Welsh National Opera Company and the San Francisco Opera Company. Since arriving in Canada, Gwyndaf has been busy producing concerts, performing as a soloist for various ensembles and headlining festivals such as the 2009 North American Festival of Wales and recording his first self-titled CD. Most recently, he has joined forces with a few Canadian charities such as the Bob Rumball Association for the Deaf, by using his talent as a fundraising tool.
